In January 2009 we published the CHSC Science Pathways

 

This package has been developed by teachers for teachers.  It offers:

· A flexible and adaptable set of PowerPoint resources which can be used for planning, making and storing lesson plans and also with the pupils in the classroom

· Progression in scientific understanding and concepts presented as ‘Topic Overviews’.  This progression meets the demands of the new National Curriculum and exceeds the National Strategy Yearly Objectives

· A practical method of designing your own school curriculum which meets your local needs whilst incorporating existing best practice and resources

· The ‘Thinking Frame Approach’ a highly effective means of learning through problem solving and helping to improve verbal and written explanations in Science

· Practical advice and resources to support teacher’s CPD including;

à understanding ‘How Science Works’

à using  levels and levelling interactively in the classroom

à improving progression during the transition between KS2 and KS3 Science
